Light to medium roast. This Arabica bean coffee is a special blend with Typica, Bourbon, Caturra bean varieties grown at 5400' elevation on the Eastern slopes of the Northern Andean Mountains in the Lambayeque region of Peru. This delicious coffee has a sweet, caramelly taste with a hint of nuts and dried fruit. The aftertaste is sweet, chocolaty and creamy with a clean finish. The Cafe Femenino project has proven to be a model of empowerment of rural women farmers and has grown beyond the geographical boundaries of Peru. It's the first-ever attempt to spotlight women coffee farmers as well as sustainable coffee farming that includes certified organic, certified fair trade, and certified Smithsonian Shade Grown "Bird-Friendly" coffee.
